It's tough because there are some guys like Ike Williams and Bob Montgomery who fought many of the same guys, just not ALL of the same guys.

This made me boxrec Tony Canzoneri and I was reminded of how many great and/or talented fighters he faced throughout his career.

        Lou Ambers
        Jimmy McLarnin
        Barney Ross
        Benny Bass
        Kid Chocolate
        Frankie Klick
        Billy Petrolle
        Baby Arizmendi
        Johnny Jadick
        Jack Berg
        Johnny Dundee
        Bud Taylor

        and on and on.

Yes, that is indeed an impressive career... and a great shame he had that last fight. Imagine if he had retired before that - without ever having been stopped in 174 bouts. That would REALLY have been something!

I'm not sure if this is a legit one but perhaps,

            Maxim
            Marshall
            Charles
            Moore
            Bivins

That most certainly is legit - good find! Smil

Apparently this isn't as easy as I thought, as you guys have come up with only 2 groups so far (at least 4 more out there).

Hint: There's a certain era where several boxers, who would later become HOFers, weren't given a chance to fight for a world title - so instead they fought each other. Not once, but MANY times!

DeepSleep named a group from a completely different era - which may not be the only one hiding there!

                  From reading your hint the first names that came to mind were;

                  Willis
                  Jeanette
                  Langford
                  McVey

I would say Jack Johnson but I'm pretty sure he never fought Willis.

Someone with more knowledge of this era might be able to name the fifth if there is one.

Jeffries, Choynski, Fitzsimmons, Corbett & Tom Sharkey
