Maciel wasn't bad tbh, and an awful style matchup for pirog.

As for martinez, he'd clean out the division in a year if chavez stopped ducking him.

Who is Chavez Jr? Why is he any more or less credible than Barker or Rhodes? Zbik who? All are a bunch of guys with no real meaningful fights against proven world class opponents. Most of them have little to no experience fighting outside of their home country.

Same for Pirog. He KO'd Daniel Jacobs which sounds great until you realize that Jacobs is nothing but hype. Neither guy has a real world class resume.

To clear out the division, the guy to fight is Sturm.

Who the **** has Barker even fought? No one knows who he is outside of the U.K. They U.K. has a bunch of stiffs that simply can't compete on a world level. Look at Ryan Rhodes, hes a european champion and has a good record in the U.K. but he just got the **** beat out of him by a 20 year old with no head movement or footwork.

Pirog would beat the hell out of Barker and Martinez. Why else would Martinez duck him to fight Drizurick and say "**** Pirog we will never fight him!"

Simple, Martinez will be fighting on HBO from now on and not in some untelevised backwoods matchup in Europe. Pirog isn't going to be fighting on HBO anytime soon-hasn't been back on the US airwaves since the Jacobs match. Martinez will fight anyone that they put in front of him....he'd fight a much larger and younger Pavlik and Williams (twice) but he ducks Pirog? I guess..
