Lol. It's worse than ducking, it's turning tail & running! Nacho nailed it: Golovkin will likely beat Caducko, so he & GBP don't want any.

This is what I mean. So people say 'Canelo wants a better purse, he wants the 155 as negotiation tool'.. this is BS and excuses. Fact is, he wanted to keep his WBC title and for Golovkin to come down and meet 155.

I'm still going on record that Canelo and Pac will fight next. Then GGG debacle will all be forgotten. Probable fight Lemieux in May then GGG in Dec. That would be my estimated guess.

There's no one out there, besides a Mayweather; I would have said Pacquiao but now he's a retired Senator in his home country; That can erase the stigma of the diehard Canelo fans turning on him.

However, please understand that Canelo doesn't need Golovkin because he's a cash cow. He can make money fighting whoever he wants but Triple G cannot.

Alvarez has everything that Triple G needs; A box office draw, large following and a loyal fan base.

Therefore, it's almost like Gennady is at the mercy of Ginger, in order to make a fight happen because he needs that pay per view foil in Alvarez, in the hopes of ever becoming a crossover mainstream star.

If you really think Canelo will keep the ppv status that he never had (couldn't even breach 1 mil ppv when fighting a big name like Cotto, and only made 460 against Khan) after ducking GGG, then you are delusional.

Just who do you think Canelo has to fight next? If he goes back to 154 then he is at a high risked of being schooled by either Charlo bros, Andrade, Lara, or J-rock. If he goes up to one sixty who gonna buy a fight of his after he blatantly ducked GGG, and will he even beat BJS, Eubank Jnr, or Jacobs at 160?

The thing is Canelo has already lost and it's not dented his popularity yet Golden Boy seem to be engaged in an exercise of brand marketing where they don't want their product being tainted by an L. But in the process they've tainted him with a far worse stigma. His own fans are hounding him on social media as a coward and worse. His fellow professionals are openly deriding him. Journalists are calling for a boycott of his fights.

If this isn't Saul's decision then GBP have stiffed him something royal. They've underestimated just how tired we've become of being short changed.

And they're denying their fighter an opportunity to be great. Ali isn't regarded as The Greatest because he won fights that he was supposed to. He's held in high regard because he triumphed over adversity. He beat fighters in Liston and Foreman that few thought he would. He came back to beat a man who had handed him his first loss and put him on the seam of his pants.

Marquez didn't get a decision three times before he put it right. Being a champion isn't about the number in the Losses column its about how a fighter conducts themselves. Alvarez would do well to force this fight through regardless of what his team think or of how unsure he is that he can win.

You guys need to stop defending Canelo. There is no promoter that can force a fighter not to accept a mandatory fight. That's impossible. You could easily sue your promoter if they tried to do that.

More proof he's a coward is that he actually complained right after signing the Cotto contract that he wanted the Cotto fight at 156lbs, yet after fighting Cotto, he then said his weight is 155lbs and GGG has to come down to 155lbs to fight him.

How can anyone defend this piece of ****! Always fighting smaller guys at cw, always ducking guys who are the same size.
