It is not a natural disaster, it is down to bad planing from the authorities

They have done absolutely nothing to prevent the damage.

And how much do you want to bet they still won't do nothing.

Yes, they don't come out of nowhere, and there is a season for them.

How much money has been put into fire prevent, having controlled burns, building fire blocks to stop in spreading, prevent planning permission in fire risk places.

And will they do anything now?

No, then act in amazement when it happens again.

Dont forget about the Cal fire tax that was passed a couple years ago. I heard it was diverted into the general fund.

The fire passed through the Santa Susana Field Lab which had a partial nuclear meltdown in 1959.

There could be toxic smoke and ash floating around. Although the "authorities" are denying it.

WTF, the people pay money to go into a program to prevent these wild fires, the authorities use it for other things and wild fires destroy property and take lives.

If they did do this, surely you can sue, or does govt have protection?

                Seems very wrong.

                  http://www.fire.ca.gov/firepreventionfee/

The fee, which had drawn the ire of rural residents throughout the North State, was passed by the state Legislature in 2011 and was intended to pay for fire prevention and education programs. None of the money went to firefighting efforts.

How did the politicians get away with this?

Did the people vote them out at least?

There should be a law, that money raised by any tax goes towards that fund.
