I hope Golovkin's team doesn't overvalue him. I'm not sure what the offers are but 15M and a small % of the PPV is reasonable.

It's simple. Golovkin can win convincingly if he was only more willing to take shots to get his off. You know. Heart. He might even get the KO if he was willing to press hard enough.

This is the only thing that was exposed in the fight that Golovkin doesn't have more heart then your average slick boxer when he's faced with equal fire power. He won't beat his opponent he waits for his opponent to beat himself.
No way in hell does GGG and his team accept a Jacob's rematch before a Canelo fight.

That's like holding your winning lottery ticket outside a car window travelling at 100MPH

The funny thing is that prior to Jacob's fight 70% of people gave canelo no shot to win the fight. Yet everybody wants to see it?

Jacob's gives him a good fight and yet all of his fans want golovkin to bypass him to fight a guy that they don't believe has a shot at beating him.

I think they liked it better when they could say nobody wants to fight him.

Golovkin a entertaining guy and a skilled boxer but fearless brawler he is not l. It's a shame he's become the white nationalist icon through his bullying tactics instead of becoming becoming famous for his high level of skill.

The only difference was a knockdown since it was a very close fight but other then that yes it was the same.

Lara ran from Canelo and embarrassed himself. Booed all night and regardless who you wanted to win you were disgusted with his performance. There was no fan outcry for a rematch. Jacobs out boxed GGG but stood his ground and fought too. landed more power punches then GGG to prove it. You ain't running when you land 144 power punches. GGG is facing major backlash and pressure to rematch Jacobs.

You can tell the difference in the fights because Jacobs despite officially losing not only it didn't hurt his stock but improved it. While Lara lost hurt his stock and is forever branded a coward runner. He'll NEVER get a fight with Canelo again, where as GGG has no choice he has to rematch.

                Golovkin doesn't need Canelo anymore.

Canelo has never faced a true middleweight. Not once. Even a drained, sloppy, undedicated Junior can't fight like a middleweight. I think Canelo did the right thing for his career handing over the belt to the man and being a coward. Don't fight guys who can hurt you. Be yellow. Be Canelo.

Canelo has ALREADY moved up more weight classes then that 35 year old coward GGG and he's only 26. You saw GGG get exposed by a chinny Jacobs. Fight before that got his face busted up by a welterweight. Now you see why he ran from Ward and has been trying to price himself out of 15m fight with Canelo. Made Jacobs who known as a brawler look like a slickster easily out boxing the slow one dimensional GGG. Imagine what Canelo who is more skilled and has better defense and chin then Jacobs will do.

Golden Boy Promotions CEO Oscar De La Hoya, who handles Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (48-1-1, 34 KOs), has no intention of backing away from the financial terms that were presented to Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (37-0 33 KOs) for a September pay-per-view fight.
