    Floyd, and those that have guided his career, have learned from the greats of the past and sculpted an absolutely great career(on paper at least).

    He learned from Muhammed Ali that you can be hated but still sell fights.
    He learned from Sugar Ray Leonard that strategic retirements will preserve your health and your appeal, and that you should wait to fight your chief rivals until they have slow down.
    He learned from Tyson's career how to keep your eye on the prize and not let setbacks (prison) ruin you.
    He learned from Pernell Whitaker that you need to be a super-star in order to rely on a defensive style to win you fights (and not have the possiblity of the robbery).

    Floyd is an all time great, one of the best that ever laced them up. But he still will be known as a better businessman than a fighter.
