  • Why do people take Hearn's words as gospel?

The guy does bad business, craps on other promoters every chance he gets, and is always lying. This isn't even an AJ/Wilder thing, he's done this before people on here even cared who he was.

Isn't it telling that NO other promoter really likes him, at all or hardly has good things to say about him? Dude is going to get himself boxed in with the way he acts.

Idk. I certainly don’t take any of the promoters too seriously. They are there to protect their cash cows.

And a greater question is why people defend Hearn believing everything he said about the Joshua/Wilder negotiations as if they were 100% true when they are not. Hearn really embarrassed himself as soon as the Fury/Wilder fight was mentioned. It's even crazier that american fighters are signing with him.

There's a difference between fudging the truth, lying and being caught on camera lying, and then say you didn't say something and then denying what was shown on video previously.

Hearn is so bad because he can't keep a camera out of his face, he reminds me of Puff Daddy.

Eddie Sperm has a satanic spell on these U.K. weirdos. when he speaks they bow and worship.

sad thing is Eddie is not even the shot caller at Matchroom. his daddy Barry is the real boss.

Eddie Sperm said for weeks Wilder vs Fury was a pipe dream and the Brezeale fight was a done deal.. and STILL these U.K. clowns are neck deep in his ass.

Bingo. He's just doing his job and he's very very good at this job. Perhaps the best in the world right now.

Promoters have always been full of ****. Calling Hearn a great liar isn't an insult. It's praise for his mastery of his chosen profession.

As for why UK fans take his every word as the gospel, like the best con men, Hearn is tremendous at making an audience feel like he's opening up to them and letting them in on how things really work, by sprinkling in a lot of inconsequential truth most wouldn't, so he can swerve them with the lies that matter once they're eating out of his hands.

Whether it's a politician or a promoter, the techniques are nearly identical.

It just baffles me the agenda he tries to push that Wilder has no name and no one showed up at his last fight. Wilder is doing double the numbers compared to Mikey Garcia who he is supposedly offering more than three million per fight.

End of the day Hearn is a promoter and he takes advantage of platforms like IFL TV. He knows certain advisors/promoters don't talk much so people will buy what he says. But in terms of the Wilder/AJ situation, he completly over played his hand. There is good reason to push that fight to 2019, but he just figured Wilder had no other option but Breazeale. Didn't take into account Fury and now he is trying to say Fury will just pull out and won't fight him this year. And of course a lot of people continue to buy his crap and repeat what he says.
