Republicans control the senate, the house and the white house and they can't get schit done still?

We had one in 2013 under Obama that lasted 16 days. Under Jimmy Carter we had a total of 5 shutdowns for a combined 57 days...and he had a Democratic House and Senate on his side.

Basically, it happens under every President since Ford. Nothing new.

Obama did not have a Dem controlled house and senate... so what was the point of bringing that up?

I don't see the similarity in circumstances there.

This administration has been bungling among it's own party so badly to get any legislation actually passed that it is mind boggling. Fortunately for them doing nothing is probably the best thing they could do with the economy recovering as it has been.

About 8 months of that he had a filibuster proof Senate.

It's their, and Trump's, actions that got the economy moving again.

2016 GDP growth was 1.5%. In 2017, Trump's first year, it was 3%.

Cutting regulations did that.

Once the Trump tax cuts kick in it'll be growing 4-5%. Watch and see.
