What's wrong with living in paradise? The Bahamas is paradise.

It's cost of living is 44.32% higher than the U.S.

Secondly, did African Americans not help turn the U.S into the powerhouse it is today via the countless contributions they made as slaves and free citizens?

This is undeniable. You're ******ed for even attempting to call a statement like that as comedic

It's founding fathers not founding fathers who didn't own slaves.

As if slavery was a big issue at the time. It wasn't a major issue for almost 100 years.

Slavery helped build the south and south economy depended on it.

Slavery were abolished in most of the world at the time even the Catholic Church outlawed it in Catholic countries

This Is What Slavery Looks Like in the 21st Century

Slavery seems like a lost artifact from a darker, crueler part of human history, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Almost 36 million adults and children are enslaved across the world today.
        India: 14,285,700 people in slavery
        Haiti: 237,700 people in slavery
        Mauritania: 155,600 people in slavery
        Uzbekistan: 1,201,400 people in slavery

Free & cheap labor has been & will continue to be the not so secret to US companies success. F#ck ya capitalism...don't worry poor people you getting yours soon....lol. Not much has changed from back in the day til now. More & more companies are grabbing prison labor these days &/or are continuing to go to third world countries, where the economics can look the economics of 1950's United States, for employees.

I think there is an argument that a percentage of the prison population are slaves in the US these days. But yea sure there are slaves & the slavery structure has been altered to something more sellable to how things work today.

              Slavery in ancient Egypt

              https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slavery_in_ancient_Egypt

Slavery in Ancient Egypt was established in the New Kingdom (1550-1175 BCE), with slaves making up 80% of the population.

The first record of slavery is from the earliest written language

The Sumerian Code of Ur-Nammu includes laws relating to slaves, written circa 2100 – 2050 BCE; it is the oldest known tablet containing a law code surviving today. The Babylonian Code of Hammurabi, dating to c. 1700 BCE, also makes distinctions between the freeborn, freed and slave.
Slavery was likely happening much earlier, but there were no written languages before Sumeria (just hieroglyphics).

The prison labor is just that, modern day slavery that produces free labor allowing the corporations that have prison contracts to get billions of dollars in free labor.

Mr. Freedom accidentally left out the 60,000 people that were accounted for as slaves in the U.S in his link.

But yeah, prison labor has been the new legal version of slavery since the late 1960's when mass incarceration started and the vilification of the African American community and distinct laws that were passed to start the process.

Maybe it's well known in America, but had no damn clue.... Came across the youtube vid several months ago and Googled it. Just very surprised, i'd no clue! Is this BS or not? Because a hint of me smells something dodgy going on, just find it hard to believe.

Shocker for mr jab if true. Don't know what to think of it all really.

                    Thats great.

So that means they didn't found this country because they had slaves?

Cheap labor is the key to every company success. Not just us companies.
