what did you do with your old nvidia card? You could use that for physx..

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...tec%20illusion

This case is a good deal since it comes with fans. Also pretty roomy. Ive seen it on sale for as low as 49.99 with free shipping.

    this one only 44.99
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-153-_-Product

    comes with fans also...

once you start buying fans alone the price can easily hit 30+$$ so might be your best bet to do the case 1st then see how the temps look. Do you have a black edition processor? Is it the stock heatsink with heatpipes? If it has the heatpipes it should be pretty decent and like I mentioned for 5$ you can grab some good thermal paste and reseat the heatsink...or if your mind is made up on getting a heatsink only you can grab something like below..worst case scenario you run it with side panel off

This is a pretty good cooler for the price

Have you tried running it with the side panel off and checking how low temps go?

    good luck

Forgot to mentioned I order my heatsink yesterday and I went with the 35 dollar version of that one.

I noticed some ppl were able to get there's up to 3.9ghz and 4.0ghz on the same amd phenom II 965 I have. We also will be changing the exhaust fan on my current case. We will be getting a 92mm fan for blowing out the air. I think the exhaust fan we have right now blowing out air is a small 80mm one.

yeah thats a good choice has a lot of good reviews and come with preapplied thermal paste on the heatsink already just make sure to clean the old paste off the processor really well and you may want to twist the old heatsink off rather than pull sometimes the cpu rips out with it

post before and after temps using hwmonitor if you can would be interesting to see how it goes.

I have an expert putting the pc together. I don't put my gaming pc together, he knows what he is doing he has put fans in my pc before several times before.

I'll try that program hwmonitor out.

              Here's my stock fan settings.

It runs cool when I'm not playing any games.

Stock fan on Amd Phenom II x4 965 running @3.7ghz

Mafia II running maxed out at 1920x1200 resolution with physx on high. Played for about like 5-6 mins. Then I took snapshot of the temps I got.

I had exited the game quickly when I took snapshot. That snapshot might not be accurate. It could have well reached 60.

I just nutted, my cpu fan is running my cpu 10 degrees cooler at 3.7ghz... And it is also cooling the **** out of my video card aswell! 13 degrees cooler on my video card! Unbelievable results!

When my better case-fan comes in tomorrow, I'm probably going to get even cooler. At the time being I don't know if I should overclock some more or not. I'll wait... My pc is like an ice-cub right now!!!! And we still didn't put arctic silver 5 on which I heard makes the cpu even cooler!

edit: now running at 3.91ghz with ease because I was too tempted to overclock even though the better case-fan didn't come in mail today... And omg this things a beauty I am definitely going to be able to hit 4.0ghz. One question to anyone is would I have to change any voltages around to get to 4.0ghz or can I get there without messing around with the voltage? I'm kind of too scared to try... And I can't believe how quiet my pc is now!

Did that temps, didn't change much at all! Oh yeah, I'm stuck at 3.7ghz. Right now I clocked it to 3.6ghz because I'm not playing any pc games now since I just beat mafia 2. I really need a good pc case for my system though thats is for cooling only tho!
