Its not the hardest fight for anyone at 147...yet. Spence hasn ot proven himself but if he beats Brook and especially if he does so impressively, then yeah, Spence is worthy of the hype.

Why is Spence the "hardest" fight at 147?

They were hoping hed drop the title and Spence would pick it up against a lesser fighter, and also it would add to the myth without the risk.

Many have also said he's a much tougher ask than Pacquiao and although I've been on the Spence train for a while now, despite being a prospect he is a world level rookie. He has bags of potential but is unproven, Kell just fought GGG and is being given tons of credit for fighting his mandatory, he wouldn't dodge one to save his life vs Dan and Bizier but he almost moved a division as soon as the first tough test came up. To sum up, please don't compare Spence to a guy like Pacquiao who won a world title as recent as November, it's disrespectful. P.s I got Brook winning a late stoppage, I think he beats Garcia and Thurman too for the record but fighting your mandatories is what you're supposed to do.
Maybe when Khan retires he'll take the likes of you with him. Here's hoping.

Brook should be at 154 calling out Cotto/Canelo or a testing the waters (of 154) domestic fight against Liam Smith, or fight Saunders at 160. Fighting Spence deserves credit because Brook is sacrificing all that bulking he did for the GGG fight to come back down to 147 and fight one of the most dangerous up and coming fighters. In other words, we could be seeing a "Dead on arrival" Kell Brook taking a risk at Spence of all people he coulda made a comeback fight with, he will fight a guy who's undefeated, fresh, has been in no wars, and is hungry.
WW is looking good, that's 6 top 10 WW's fighting each other. Brook vs Spence, Thurman vs DSG, Pacquiao vs Khan.
