So either GGG fights Canelo on the back of failed tests or he is stalled out further until he's even older. Canelo was smart to cheat either way.

It's a smokescreen to make it appear as if they're actually doing something. They'll clear him long before May 5th and the fight will still be on.

Comments Thread For: Canelo is 'Temporarily Suspended' By NSAC Due To Failed Tests
Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (49-1-2, 34 KOs) has been temporarily suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, in connection to his failed drug tests from February, where the boxer came up positive for traces of clenbuterol in samples taken on February 17 and February 20.

I started to worry that this might just be a way for Canelo to get out of the rematch now that GGG looks in better shape going into the second fight. People keep saying they will never cancel it, but something weird is going on here otherwise I doubt Canelo would have gotten caught in the first place. They never catch Mexican or American star money makers in boxing while they are still earning the business big money, so what changed here?
Or, maybe I am just reading too much into things. But this whole thing is... unusual, to say the least, if not suspicious.

Four years doing whatever they wanted abusing the position they had due to Canelo being mexican basically. And now things turning back to them. First the lawsuit then the gift draw then this.
