  • Ronnie Shields thinks Canelo will KO Trout

He talks about it from 4:30-5:45. I thought this was very interesting him picking Canelo by late round stoppage and what he saw from Canelo when he trained Cintron against Canelo.

I think Canelo's boxing skills are also underrated. I see people saying the only way he can legitmally beat Trout is by KO and that has isn't capable of outboxing Trout. I do not agree with the way those people think.

I think this is a close fight on paper, which means it's 50/50 that either man can win but I believe Alvarez is capable of outboxing Trout as I also believe Trout is capable of outboxing him. I however do not see Trout winning by KO/TKO, because I think Trout can only win by Decision.

I don't know...this is a legit fight, that's for sure! Pretty much as dangerous as P-Will vs Canelo. Props to the ginger for not takin an easy fight as a "step up."

I think I remember reading an interview from Shields immediately after that Cintron fight and he sounded really impressed about Canelo, doesn't sound like his opinion has changed very much. I wonder if he has been around Trout and gotten a closer look like that

yes he did, cottos early body work also slowed trout a bit, i might say.

Yeah, he said Canelo's speed took him by surprise. He didn't think he was fast at all when he first saw him on tape.
