I love Oete Rose, and Ichiro.
Is it fair to Pete Rose if ichiros's japanese hits are added in?
Discuss!

I am looking for guys who really know baseball to put this in perspective for me. The Japanese Media is going crazy that he surpassed Rose in hits.

Its a major league record so no the japanese hits do not count, but if ichiro played earlier in the mlb he would have beat rose record sooner, ichiro has the record for fastest to 2000 hits or something like that right?

Yeah but different leagues man, thats like saying cfl records and stats should be carried over to nfl stats, if so warren moon would be top dog.
By the way warren moon is top five alltime quarterbacks he never gets recognition

As far as the MLB record is concerned, no.
Ichiro is probably 1st ballot HOF regardless.
