Luis Antonio Ortiz Guerra and Andrés Barba Oliva
Two kids murdered for bullying the son of José Ángel Carrasco Coronel, "El Changel"
GUADALAJARA, Jal.- Two 15 year-old boys, who were reported missing and found dead the day before yesterday were killed for teasing the son of a drug smuggler who is a prisoner in Mexico City.
The Office of the State Attorney General (FGE) today confirmed the discovery of the bodies of the two, who were kidnapped on Friday, June 21, and hours later killed on a farm in Guadalajara's La Primavera forest.
That day, Luis Antonio Ortiz Guerra and Andrés Barba Oliva were lured from the central Mall Plaza Citadel, located in Zapopan, and then taken to the farm where there was supposedly supposed to be a party.
The boys who were killed were contacted by another friend, who, reportedly, had invited them to belong to a criminal group, but far from involving them with organized crime, the victims were taken to the place where they then would be killed.
According to the details offered this afternoon at a press conference by the Attorney General Luis Carlos Nájera, the motive was a payback for a joke committed by the youngsters against a son of José Angel Carrasco Coronel, arrested in Sinaloa and imprisoned in Mexico City several months ago, and a nephew of the late drug lord Ignacio "Nacho" Coronel Villareal who was a high ranking boss in the Sinaloa cartel headed by El Chapo Guzman.
Officials showed reporters the image of two teenagers at the moment that walked through the plaza in the company of another young man, who is designated as being responsible for luring the two boys and who is currently detained.
Both of the boys received an invitation to a party through Facebook, when in fact they had already planned to kill them.
State authorities conducted a search on Saturday, June 29 at a location known as La Cebada, within the La Primavera forest, and where more than 40 homes spread over an area of one hundred hectares [247 acres] are located.
Luis Carlos Nájera said was less than 600 meters from one of those estates is where the murderers dug an underground trench to bury their victims.
He also said that there are at least three other suspects involved in the crime, although at the time this information was omitted , as well as the name owner of the estate which was raided.
