I like it in between rounds he tells PBF "Keep doing what your doing", "he is about to quit", "he dosent want to fight he just came for a check", but my favorite Roger quote happened in the corner after RD 9 of the hatton fight. As floyd sits in the stool he tells floyd "Too much skill for that mother****er"- Words of wisdom indeed.

there was a time when making that transition was seamless because of the judging standards, however today i cant really say that. The way olympic boxing is structured is bull****, its based basically on pitty pat scoring and nothing more. after they robbed roy jones, when they changed the scoring, its been horrible ever since. Many amatuers today who dont go to the olympics can still be good pros depending on how they prepared as far the amatuers go.

But, today? as of the last 20 years? id hardly call anyone with an olympic medal polished. how you prepare for olympic boxing isnt even the same as how you prepare for an amatuer fight, the scoring is just redundant.

That's an un informed misconception. Pitty pat punches don't score, a punch needs to have full weight behind it to register as a point. That's why you often don't see jabs scoring unless they are stiff ones that snap the head back.

Many top international bouts end up with low scores like 6-3, 7-5 etc etc If ****ty little pitty pat punches were scoring, the scores wouldn't be so low and both fighters would just be throwing non stop slaps.

The scoring system does have it's problems. Inside work is hardly, hardly ever paid, and body shots usually only score depending on what side of the ring you throw them from (so 3 out of the 5 judges can see) or if it's a long bodyshot.
