Why has ward never shown any interest in an usyk fight?

Ward is already an all time great, and the premise of this thread is ridiculous. Ward is retired and Usyk will be moving up to Heavyweight in a few months time.

HOFer for sure - all time great? Bit early to go giving him that kind of accolade isn't it? Froch, Kessler and Kovalev - I mean, sure that's a pretty good trio, but beyond that..? Why don't we leave the ATG stuff to the historians of the future, man?

That said the thread starter is just trying to push people's buttons I think - there's no call and no need for Ward to return to the ring - whether to fight Usyk or anyone else.

By beating everybody at 168 and becoming unified champ. Then moving up to 175 and beating the #1 fighter there twice. He's definitely an all time great. I mean most people would consider Joe Calzaghe an all time great and Wards resume is pretty similar in terms of quality.

Why did ward never make any noise about fighting bute all those years ago? Why did he spend years fighting nobodies?

When Bute was champion Ward was competing in the super six. And pretty much a few months after Ward had won the super six Bute lost to Froch. You have no clue what you're talking about.

If he legitimately beat Kovalev then you might have a case. im sorry but getting a gift where he clearly lost and then winning via lowblows in bizarre fashion does not equate to being an ATG it equates to even more questions than answers....and yes the ward fangirls will call me a hater or racist or w/e but why could he never win without controversy in (bar froch) all of his biggest fights?

Is it because he was overrated and needed hometown advantage with dodgy refferees and judges or is it because he really is an ATG and people hate him because they are racist kkkovalev, pac and lil g fans? There is a reason why he never fought without all those advantages.

For example Usyk is beating world class opposition in his opponents back yards, without any 'hometown' advantage, without clinching, without dirty tactics, without dodgy reffs and scorecards. you cant question his wins. but you can Ward, and for that IMO he will never be an ATG.

Well this is just your opinion. The record is that Ward beat Kovalev twice and retired undefeated. And the fact that Ward only fought in America means nothing. Besides the first Kovalev fight none of the decisions in Ward fights were even remotely close or controversial.
