    well... being Canadian champion does mean you're the best in a given category in your own country, which is a pretty good start, and can lead to greater things

    there have been a lot of fighters who have been Canadian champions with/without winning a World title subsequently

      To be honest with you, being a national champ is a great achievement, but to me Canadian; German or even national champ in the US don't mean you're world class. It's good but not enough to be compared to Klitschkos or Marquezes.
