At everything level then or now UFC fighters are paid drastically less then their level counterpart in boxing. Prospects get paid more, mid level fighters get paid more and obviously the elite fighters get paid more.

UFC fighters were and are being ripped off. For example back in 2005 long before Floyd was a superstar he was the B side to Gatti and made 3.2M for a PPV that only sold 300K buys. After that fight he fought twice more on PPV Judah was paid 5M and 8M to fight Baldamir all fights that did around 300K buys. During that same exact time Liddell was making just 100-288K per fight for PPVs like his one with Ortiz that drew 892K PPVS.

Floyd Mayweather purses BEFORE fighting Oscar

    Oct 3/98 – W (Hernandez) – $137,000

    Dec 19/98 – W (Manfredy) – $500,000

    Feb 17/99 – W (Rios) – N/A

    May 22/99 – W (Juuko) – $400,000

    Sep 11/99 – W (Genera) – $500,000

    Mar 18/00 – W (Vargas) – $750,000

    Oct 21/00 – W (Augustus) – $250,000

    Jan 20/01 – W (Corrales) – $1,500,000

    May 26/01 – W (Hernandez) – $2,200,000

    Nov 10/01 – W (Chavez) – $1,800,000

    Apr 20/02 – W (Castillo) – $2,200,000

    Dec 7/02 – W (Castillo) – $2,400,000

    Apr 19/03 – W (Sosa) – $2,800,000

    Nov 1/03 – W (N’dou) – $3,000,000

    May 22/04 – W (Corley) – $3,000,000

    Jan 22/05 – W (Bruseles) – N/A

    Jun 25/05 – W (Gatti) – $3,200,000

    Nov 19/05 – W (Mitchell) – $4,300,000

    Apr 8/06 – W (Judah) – $5,000,000

    Nov 4/06 – W (Baldomir) – $8,000,000

No matter how you try to spin it UFC fighters were and are still getting robbed. Making peanuts compared to boxers who are seeing much bigger piece of the pie for the money that is generated from these PPVs and events. Liddell's entire career made less money then Floyd made in 1 night to fight Zab Judah and almost as much as he made being the B side to Arturo Gatti and this is years before Floyd fought Oscar and became a cross over superstar.

Ortiz and Liddell in the leadup said they got little to no percentage of PPV, live gates and other revenue streams. Said this weekend's fight they were given true percentages of all revenue streams like they never received during their time with the UFC. The list of fighters like ortiz, Liddell, all saying they were robbed and continue to be robbed by the UFC is way too long to list. The amount of the pie that goes into these UFC fighters hands for these PPVS is disgusting. No where on par to what boxers get for their events.

But go look for the recent UFC Unfiltered podcast where Dana goes off on the whole event. Its solid roasting.

Tito has actually stated he got 10x these numbers with his PPV points. He's stated this fight was his biggest payday (he claims this fight Saturday could surpass it although last I heard they've just confirmed 200k+ thus far) at $2.9M.

And looking at the leaked numbers for Randy Couture's PPV points deal that works out as a lil lower but I'm guessing Tito got a better deal then Couture cuz Tito seemed bigger for longer back in the day.

Less than 100,000 buys: No money
              100,000-175,000 buys: $1.00/buy

              300,000-330,000 buys: $2.00/buy
              Over 330,000 buys: $3.00/buy

That last part are "promotion/sponsorship" money you bozo not their purses for the event lmfao.

Man idk why boxing fans don't care nothing about MMA unless money gets mentioned.

Come on man I expect better from you. You aren't ******ed like a bunch of these mfers are.

And as I've mentioned a million f#cking times to you not even casual MMA fans locker room bonuses are a thing in MMA at ALL LEVELS not just the UFC. This is some sh^t that isn't even a thing in boxing so how would you know about it, but all the same its something that exists. Consider it like Haymon second checks except these guys don't gotta be with Haymon to get their second checks.

Randomly Frank Mir gots one of the best locker room bonus stories I've heard.
UFC star Frank Mir is a family man.

When I visited him at his gym in Las Vegas a couple of years ago, he was working out with his dad, Frank Sr. His wife was there too with his young child in tow.

If it seems an idyllic scene, that's because it is. The Mirs are rich, filthily so, and enjoying every minute of it. It happened in the blink of an eye. A single phone call that changed their life.

Signs pointed to something very, very bad when the phone went clattering to the ground. Mir's wife wondered what was wrong. There were tears in the fighter's eyes, unusual to say the least.

Her worries were soon a thing of the past. No one had died. There was no family emergency. Mir had just gotten the word about his locker room bonus for his UFC main event with Brock Lesnar. He'd cleared almost an extra million dollars. That's enough to bring any man to his knees.

When Mir was UFC champion the first time, before the Fertitta family turned the sport of mixed martial arts around, he had to keep his day job as a strip club bouncer at the Spearmint Rhino.

In the post-Ultimate Fighter world, he's a millionaire. It's a touching story about a family that woke up to find they were living the American Dream.

And this is what ODH will be singing in their ears, White fears Oscar because of how a fighter is paid in boxing it is different than the UFC and the fighter makes a lot more, that money can entice a lot of big names to fight for Golden Boy MMA .

I can see why White would feel threatened by the venture.
