Agreed with most of your points, I only watched the game until about the 60th minute but I felt as though Sterling had a decent first half to be honest. He was running at their defence and getting us a number of corners. Could have been poor for the rest of the second half.

Kane was useless imo. He shouldn't be taking corners, that should be done by Rooney or Lallana. He isn't even good at them lol. He was also playing far too back to be a threat. Sterling had problems with the final ball because there was no one there at the end of it. Alli looked more of a striker than Kane did.

The game was screaming for Vardy to come on. He will stretch their defence and make those uncomfortable runs behind defenders and he'll be there for the final ball.

I just don't understand what Roy was doing for that game, poor reading of the game by him/his staff imo. First half we were all over them, it was a matter of making it happen in the final third.

The problem with Sterling was his final ball, as always.

He got into great positions several times and every time his final ball was useless. Sturridge or Barkley on for him and Vardy on for Kane after the goal seemed so obvious, but Roy went defensive :/

They were in complete charge, there was absolutely no reason to make those changes to defend for the last 5-10 minutes. His changes allowed Russia come forward, all they had to do was continue playing as they were and control the game out comfortably.

His typical negativity cost them 2 points and James Milner should never be playing.

Russia were improved (slightly) in the 2nd half overall compared to the first. If anybody Joe Hart can be blamed, he didn't look good when Russia scored and he almost could have cost them the one point too when he almost lost the ball in that incident right after if you remember.

if they wanna fight they can police all they want, really. I heard the Russians especially were organized, cska and lokomotiv Moscow ultras getting together, they usually fight each other in organized hooliganism but they travelled to France together to target the English.

There is a video of a guy lay on the floor as french cops charge past they stop to give him a pasting. No exagerration he must have been filled in by about 30 of them.

At no point in time were England not in control, only after Milner came on in the 82nd minute or so did they lose it.
