  • A poem for people who care too much what the world thinks of them

I've seen a sparrow get high
    Wasting time in the sky
He thinks it's easy to fly
He's just a little bit freer than I

        My diq is very small
        It makes me wanna crawl
        Im not very tall
Its rumored i only have one ball

How ever things are not so bad
Im no longer raped by my dad
        Im not so mad
        That things aint so rad

But when i get more buff
Girls will want to show me their muff
I wont be interested in those scruffs
I guess life can be less tough

It means we're all focused on the wrong things. Sometimes the most beautiful things are the simplest. We imprison our own selves, we fight for the wrong things, for the wrong reasons.

Sometimes you just need to stand under the stars, feel the wind on a full moon, the rain near an ocean or look over a sunset on a mountain peak to understand why you're alive.

To see God Himself and at that moment, feel as though, if you could live a million lifetimes, and a million possibilities, that you wouldn't choose to be anywhere other than where you are.

A sparrow doesn't need to fight, but we do.

That's why they're free-er than us, not because they can fly. We can fly too, we can do more than that if we stop getting in our own way and each other's ways.

That's true, it seems conflict is an unavoidable aspect of nature.

But human beings are unique in that regard because we have power over nature. We're not bound to it.

The irony is, with our power over nature and natural balance, instead of using that power to idealize nature and balance, we instead corrupt it.

Instead of protecting, we destroy. The question is, Why?
