Germany have peaked with him is the issue. They're too comfortable with him plus the defence is diabolical. No idea why Hummels didn't play, he would have at least restrained Boateng to an extent. Instead, Boateng went around the pitch trying to play like ****ing Iniesta and failed miserably.

It's because the skill gap between teams is considerably smaller.

At club level, the top clubs just spend, spend and spend. You can't do that at international level so you see intangibles such as heart, desire and passion make more of a difference than normal
