  • Comments Thread For: Arum: Joshua Will NEVER Be The Same - Ruiz Rematch is Insane!

Before the fight took place, Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum had expected Anthony Joshua to have very few issues with Andy Ruiz. But that's not what happened on June 1 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

He will be the same once he gets back on his roid cycle. Miller and AJ were invincible and undefeated before there first VADA fight. Miller did not even make it into the ring and AJ fought like he had been castrated.

Anthony Johnson the paper champ should have stayed in the UK, and kept milking the UK fanboys.

The scared look on his face as he realised he was getting embarrassed by a short fat unranked kid, on his American debut, was priceless.

Lack of steroids don't give you a glass chin.

He looked completely normal until Ruiz caught him in the 3rd. Then he was just scared.

Ruiz figured out he just had to stand in the pocket and trade and he would outbox him and win the fight

“Unfortunately, his promoter is not a boxing guy.“

Lmao so true. He doesn’t know what he’s doing. No wonder AJ father wanted to take his head off. Hearn wants those titles for bargaining power. Without AJ and those titles he’d still be across the pond putting on Sam Eggington fights

"He shouldn’t go back with Andy Ruiz. Any real *boxing guy would tell you that. *Unfortunately, his promoter is not a boxing guy."

If Eddie isn't a boxing guy then boxing needs more non-boxing guys cuz Eddie is putting on better fights than Bob is. Any promoter who's getting his guys beat is a fan of mine. Bob nurses his guys along for years. Its good for making guys title holders & stars, but its bad for entertainment value. What good is a star if you have bored lotsa mfers for years in the process of building a star in bs fights?

"Nobody could beat Mike Tyson until Buster Douglas. Then guys like Evander Holyfield realised that they would have a good chance with Mike because they weren’t intimidated"

Bob don't know what he's talking about. Holyfield wasn't intimidated with Tyson well before Buster beat him.

Maybe If Uncle Bob didn't bury Ruiz's career like Don King did with so many fighters he would still have him in his stable. Ruiz gets 2 fights under Haymon's guidance & he gets a televised fight against Dimitrenko then a title shot. Arum makes good points about building a fighter back up but Joshua has been on the world level for several years now. Joshua has been in 8 world title fights so he doesn't need a bunch of journeymen tune ups. Maybe if he loses the rematch your look at a few lighter fights but until he loses again you go after the rematch.

                  Fcuk Arum

No surprise arum demonstrating what a casual he is yet again by showing he hasn't even watched most Ruiz' fights otherwise hed know hes the furthest thing from featherfisted as hes making out. Fury is much more featherfisted than Ruiz ffs. And hes talking crap about chubchub just because he didn't ko Parker when neither did AJ.

Surely ur relating ur personal experience with taking steroids to formulate ur opinion? It’s not like someone would have no personal experience and tell everyone how great they are? I mean the stuff is cheap as hell. If anybody really wanted to see what’s up it’s around to try, and cheap. So did u notice a visible difference in AJs physique from any recent fights? Weight? Bodyfat? Does it affect his Chin? Getting the knockdown and then trying to finish Ruiz by exchanging?!!
