That's a stupid fight. Gamboa is a washed up loser now. He hasn't earned a fight with Loma and a win over Gamboa does nothing for Loma except waste precious time in his career. Loma stated his goal is to win all the belts at lightweight. Let Gamboa win a title at 135 and then he would be a good fight for Loma but Gamboa is no longer good enough to do that. Loma would just outclass Gamboa and knock him out. Gamboa was excellent many years ago but not today.

Gamboa comes to fight at least. I honestly don't mind if Tank fights him next, it will be exciting for the few rounds it lasts.
Loma is chasing being undisputed, Tank is chasing who knows what.

Gamboa is 37 years old and about 7 years past prime. Two years ago he was knocked out by an old 130 pound boxer with 14 losses and 8 losses by KO and a 37% KO average. The guy he just knocked out was ranked 45th by boxrec. He is not in line for a Loma fight. Boxrec ranks him 11th at lightweight and that's being very generous. There are much better fighters for Loma to fight and he wants to unify 135. A better fight for Gamboa would be Tank and that is the fight Gamboa says he wants. Gamboa is better at 130 than 135 and he would be a better opponent for Tank than the easy guys Tank has been fighting lately.

gamboa is seasoned....he looked pretty good last night imo...i dont think the fight would be tough to make......good/marketable opponent for loma
or is that seen as too tough?

Because Gamboa got beat up by Castellanos and got a gift decision over Sosa. Nobody asked or wanted to see that fight...

its sensible....gamboa is known ...and he looks the part...he would want the fight for sure....and he can make for a decent/entertaining fight
you are the same type that excuses golovkin for not fighting lara(again im talking pre jacobs when lara would have been the best name on golovkins resume by far...and im not suggesting gamboa would be the best name on lomas resume im merely pointing out golovkin/lara situation).....it was always the same BS from golovkins fans "oh golovkin would kill him anyways so who cares".....that excuse doesnt fly.....loma fights alot of guys he beats up easily and "gets no credit for" after.....so why not gamboa?
And why cant you reply to the other parts of the post. Why do you think that Loma should fight Gamboa instead of Commey, who has a decent winning streak and has one of the remaining belts?
Concerning your part about GGG. Not everything goes back to Golovkin.
First off, Golovkin should have fought Lara and it would have been a good opponent for him. Not sure why you are assuming otherwise.
Your comparison doesnt work at all though. Lara was one of the best available opponents and still in his prime at that time.
Gamboa, if you still dont get it, isnt a contender anymore. Crushing Rocky Martinez does nothing. Martinez has no punch resistance.
Again, if Loma has no other options, fine, let him face gamboa.
But he is positioned to fight his mandatory and afterwards goes for the undisputed title. Where the hell does gamboa fit in that equation?
