              this is what i'm eating tonight. it's called "unagi don." it's my favorite japanese dish.


              "don" means over a bowl of rice, and "unagi" is the name for a freshwater eel.
              it's sometimes called "unadon."

              it's cooked / broiled over coals or flame. you could probably do it in an oven, too. they dip it in a sweet soy sauce, almost like teriyaki sauce. it's popular "street food" in japan. i walk to a local sushi place and pick one up at least once a week. it comes with the best miso soup on the friggin earth!
