It will be interesting to see how all this plays out. I'm pretty confident Trump ends up impeached eventually, so how does such a precedent set by a traitor stand?

There's a possibility a Democratic president could take the high road and avoid pushing through their agenda without congressional approval, but with the ever-increasing consequences of climate disaster coming each year, there may be public calls to bypass Republican obstruction and implement new measures.

Congress doesn't really matter anymore; they just gave up their power. They matter only as much as a president cares for them to matter. Trump doesn't care, so he's not going down without a fight. Once the Mueller stuff starts heating up even more, he's going to do drastic things to protect himself and distract the public.
Things would get real bad if Trump gets impeached. Civil war would likely be the outcome &/or Pence as president. The Dems needs to get their act together & focus on some1 that can beat Trump in the next election.

That might be the smartest thing a GOP senator has ever said. There are big time unintended consequences to not keeping a president in check that extend way beyond the construction of a wall.
And conservatives are supposedly all about limiting the power of the executive branch and the federal government

Dems have crap candidates, unfortunately. Trump won't be hard to beat by the time the Mueller report comes out, but the Dems aren't doing themselves any favors by pushing out "Republican-lite" candidates every election.

          Trump ain't getting impeached

Hell, Nancy Pelosi just said so. And she's the current team captain for the D team.

She said despite Trump being a Russian agent, despite his incompetence, his sexism and his ****phobia, and despite the damage he's doing to the country, Trump "isnt worth it".

          That's your team guys.

          You must be proud.

                      Just updated:

                      REJECTED

The Republican-run Senate rejected President Donald Trump's declaration of a national emergency at the southwest border on Thursday, setting up a veto fight and dealing him a conspicuous rebuke as he tested how boldly he could ignore Congress in pursuit of his highest-profile goal.

The Senate voted 59-41 to cancel Trump's February proclamation of a border emergency, which he invoked to spend $3.6 billion more for border barriers than Congress had approved. Twelve Republicans joined Democrats in defying Trump in a showdown many GOP senators had hoped to avoid because he commands die-hard loyalty from millions of conservative voters who could punish defecting lawmakers in next year's elections.
With the Democratic-controlled House's approval of the same resolution last month, Senate passage sends it to Trump. He has shown no reluctance to casting his first veto to advance his campaign exhortation to "Build the Wall," and it seems certain Congress will lack the two-thirds majorities that would be needed to override him.
Now why don't you tell us why this makes you happy, colonist scum?
