its so bad in the church because of the catholic doctrine that priests and cardinals are sacred and therefore can command obedience from the common people, this creates an elite class who can abuse the ones below them

They involved Southern Baptists.
all formal religious institutional churches are based on the catholic model, that's why they all have a professional priest / pastor who does all the work and everybody else does what they're told. southern baptists may not call their leaders priests but that's what they are. all modern examples of "church" are based on ancient greek / roman model of listening to a professionally trained religious speaker. it's the same system, just the baptists don't have a "pope"
