  • America's life expectancy is poor, and falling

Why is this? If America is so great, why do we rank 43rd in life expectancy, a number expected to drop to 64th by 2040.

If America is the wealthiest nation in the world why to the citizens live 43rd longest?

Because people who only complain and don't work can't live off of solely food stamps. We should make some more government programs to raise up our numbers.

Cool. I'm gonna lower this number even more soon once I complete the process of rapidly drinking and smoking myself to death.

The healthcare system is corrupt & broken. They charging mfers $7 to $600 for band aids that you can buy 30 of for $4 or w/e. Got mfers avoiding going to the doctor/hospital til they more f#cked up then they need to be to go.

Also the America system of healthcare is based on selling mfers products to take to "cure" their problem day to day when the real goal should be to steer people of the problem in the first place before its a problem that they'll need to take some pill for. The money is in the prescriptions doe & doctors are often mere pawns in the game.

There needs to be a massive overhaul of the healthcare system in the US to make it more "altrustic" in dealing with patients & less about companies price gouging mfers when they are most in need. The American healthcare is based on the business model of the guy selling $20 bottled water during a hurricane. That needs to be changed by any means necessarily for the betterment of all Americans.

we work the most. also have much larger popuation than any european country, and a much more diverse array of economic backgrounds.

i sell machinerty for companies in germany and canada, mostly canada AKA europe JR. the amount theyw ork is laughable. their attitude toward work is laughable. their productvity is laughable. that's why they keep american distributors around, because we get on the road and we know how to f#cking sell, and we aren't on vacation every time a line goes down.

the problem is that you open a hellish can of worms when you socialize medicine. what else do you socialize? do you socialize my business, which sells capital equipment to these companies? my suppliers, who sell steel to me?

what about the doctor who paid 200 thousand to go to medical school, you gonna pass the "cut all doctor's pay" act in 2019 and subsidize his medical school? you gonna expect talented, driven people who went to medical school and put in the work predominantly to get f#cking paid to do the same job for half the money? i mean really, you gonna work 80 hours a week as a resient and make 1/2 of what a lawyer makes for what is reported to be a much easier schooling and qualification process? yeah f#cking irght!

how about nurses? one of the most common jobs in the middle class for women. are they going to get their pay cut unilaterally along with the rest of the industry? or will it stay the same and will you cut pay for everybody else? neither are practical solutions!

i agree that the profitability of particularly the conglomerated and just generally massive pharmaceutical industry is our biggest issue [divices and hospitals are a much lesser evil, i go to pharma shows and have pharma clients and my suppliers do millions every year in the idustry,] but just think about what would be involved when you try and overhaul it. you'd turn the US government into a partner and give it ownership, the goal of all socialist economies and their governments.

i have no answer, there is no unilateral answer. you'd need to go company by company, line by line, perform due diligence and then legislate. it could make 1929 look like a square dance.
