  • Jeff "The Hornet" Horn: Greatest Chin of Current Generation?

Look at the flush shots this guy took from Manny.

He took a shot that put Mosley on his ass.

Then he took a shot that dropped Cotto.

Then he took a shot that sparked Hatton.

Then he took a shot that dropped Algieri.

But look what Hornet's doing. He's nullifying Manny's ability to throw combos by moving after the first punch.

This guy was just eating them for breakfast. Crawford...if his power didn't go up with him...wow.

Had to scroll a fair few pages to find any mention of Horn. The man has a chin that's for sure. He's tough and he will put in a good show against Crawford.

Peeps around here hate on Horn simply because of who he beat and how. It's a fight.

Malignaggi once said, there are no clean fighters, it's about learning what the ref lets you get away with and using it.

Horn isn't a solid boxer, but his ring intelligence is quite high and he's a weight bully. That combination gives anyone problems.

It's a great fight because this time, Crawford won't be the bigger guy. He's never faced a weight bully until now.

marquez took away pacs killer instinct, this isnt the same pac anymore, in fact he is very far and that includes his power too..

At some point we need to stop making excuses.

Manny was fresh off putting prime Bradley AND Vargas on their ass with similar shots. He nailed Floyd flush quite a few times, but Floyd's chin is also underrated.

The fact is, Hornet was too big for Manny, and his chin is underrated. Has nothing to do with his power, it's still there - assuming he's going up against someone who can't take it.

Khan and Kirkland never saw the shot coming because it started low and ended on the button, and it began with a feint both times.

Golovkin's got a solid chin, but he hasn't been rocked by a knockout artist yet. The one guy that did truly wobble him - Curtis Stevens - hit him with a shot he didn't see coming.

Whereas Horn took flush shots from a guy with a solid KO ratio, some of which he didn't see coming, and stayed on his feet, still moving. That's shocking.

No, it isn't. But the shots are the same shots with the same force. Manny was throwing with bad intentions - it just wasn't hurting the Hornet until Rounds 8-9. Then Manny punched himself out, and Hornet recovered. That's impressive to me.
