RocNation priced the fight too aggressively, in hindsight, but you have to know where your fighter stands.
Ward-Stevenson and Ward-Bellew are fights basically destined for Las Vegas, and both showdowns will likely be priced the exact same way (Kovalev basically proved himself to be a non-draw; GYM and Stevenson will bring high-end money with them from Montreal, and the UK will travel in strong numbers for one of their own stars).
Outside of those two fights, expect Andre Ward to stick to fighting in Oakland or at Barclays Center (keeping to the same price points that he's been keeping things at since he returned with the Paul Smith fight, $400-$40 with the upper bowl at $20/$25, until he's trending towards selling out the full building).
I agree with Stevenson being Las Vegas bound but I don't think the same thing about bellew. He'll take some fans but not many and I think ward would make more coming over here and fighting at say goodison park. I'm sure that would sell out and with his roc nation guarantee, us tv money and a split of the ppv revenue from over here he would make a very nice payday.

Lol, Ok.
It clearly states between $15-17 million per fight for 3 fights. I've also seen it mentioned in other articles, etc...even recent ones. Me being a die hard Cotto fan should know. The concerts and promotional help for Cotto was seperate, an undisclosed amount.
But it's all good, no worries.

You add that the fight can basically be sold at three times the Box Office price in UK, and I don't see Bellew generating the kind of heat in the UK to top what it can do in Las Vegas, especially if Bellew comes out here and destroys the press events with top-notch banter.
I agree, I like the Ward-Bellew fight.
Danny "Stuntman" Wheeler vs Pretty Ricky Conlan.
To be a PPV in the U.S., Eddie Hearn has to have Bellew fight on U.S. TV and familiarize him with the U.S. audience.
Right now it's not a PPV in the U.S., it wouldn't sell good in the U.S.
In the U.K. you are looking at big PPV numbers and big gate numbers.
I'm just being real about it.

So Kovalev pays the ultimate price bc his purse was based on gate and PPV. Main events either got screwed or screwed KOv. Sad really
