  • In the modern era, has there been a fighter that has bounced back after a loss.......

    ..........as many times as Bernard Hopkins has? After suffering a loss he has won the next bout on 5 occasions, 2 of those in world title fights.

    Apart from his debut, his losses have come in world title or Ring title bouts.

    It's a true testament to this man's champion mentality.

    Barrera maybe? Pacquiao? But Hopkins did amazingly yeah. Probably the best.

          Usually things seem different when a fighter comes off of a lost, you never got that sense with Hopkins.

                Hopkins is just so good, he makes subtle adjustments and almost all his losses post Jones Jr are debatable. The Taylor fights were close but I had Taylor winning both. Losses to Dawson and Calzaghe were just horrendous fights.

                What has impressed me most, something only Pacquiao and Oscar have done in recent times, is how often Hopkins has managed to bounce back in championship fights. It's one thing to bounce back against mediocre opponents but to do it at the very top is a whole different ball game.
