After months of fostering an image as a working-class Democrat, Ocasio-Cortez told the New York Times shortly after her Nov. 6 general election win that she won’t be able to afford an apartment in the Washington, D.C., area until her new $174,000-a-year salary kicks in next year. The median rent in D.C. is $2,700, according to real estate website Zillow.
She also has savings But cant afford 3 months rent before her 175k pay kicks in? WTF are you guys buying into this for?

Members of congress have two residencies, one in there home state and one in Washington. So they'll be paying for both.
So now she has to sign a lease for an apartment in Wash, so thats $2500 (most likely more) a month plus initial deposit. She'll be paying for three months with no income, add the initial deposit and we're looking at $10k. Now factor in her home residency rent, bills, food, and she's still paying off her college debt. $15k isn't looking too good now is it?
These people at Fox are hilarious.

OMG how will she do it for three whole months! I feel sooooo bad for her while people are trying to put gas in their cars. How does everyone else do it?

Huh? She was doing it, she worked a 9 to 5 at a bar to pay for rent. Now she has to pay for two rents, bar money aint that good
And no, she can't just go get another job because she's focused on her transition into congress.

Lol I guess you missed it. Many others have to do these same things. You have to make a sacrifice to climb the latter. Im sure she has family or friends that can help during this 3 MONTHS. Then she can collect her 200k and she'll be just fine just like everyone else in congress.

Soon she'll have to pay taxes on that 200k lol. Something she thinks people in that range should do more of.

It will get better just wait until she lives in the real world and finds out how her ideas won't work.

Don't know how anyone could attack someone like that.
BS, she will fall in place like everybody does in politics. She is going to learn the hard way. So she ran and won something and she is not educated how the system works? That is some candidate.
