I did not read this long bull**** of a story.

But, I thought Roy and Oscar were the men to beat in the 90's?

learn that. You can't be the best without beating the best.
Says the fan who supports the fighter who vacationed when the WW division was knocking on his door....

In all honesty....Floyd has been the favorite in nearly all his fights....I believe the DLH fight was the closest as far as betting odds.....so him winning is expected....but we will never know due to his almost 2 yrs of inactivity....WHEN WWs WERE PRIME.....

Pacquiao has been the underdog in most of his fights UP UNTIL the Hatton fight....so him fighting whatever you want to call them, "washed up, past prime, over the hill etc" fighters....the betting odds for the fights will prove otherwise....

And Floyd Stans keep creating threads about how Floyd SHOULD'VE BEEN FOTD...when BWAA (non-biased opinions that matter) have already bestowed Manny with the acclaim...at least the Tards have ground for their threads...

p4p status that was given and not earned? Come on....that's a little harsh....Manny was for the most part ranked #2 p4p the WHOLE time Floyd was #1....so your ****ting on Manny for taking on Marquez II, Diaz, DLH, Hatton, Cotto and Clottey...and saying he diddn't earn the #1 ranking?

So who did Floyd beat that was great (other than Mosley) and in their prime for him to earn the "Fighter to Beat in the 90's" title?

From my memory...the fighter to beat in the 90's was either RJJ or B-Hop....

                    & Pacquiao's resume > Mayweather's
Floyd's resume is more impressive and this is coming from a guy who personally likes Pacquaio more, lets not pretend Oscar was as good as he was when he took most of Trinidads sloppy seconds and thats what Pacquiao has done but b/c he has been the smaller man moving up he gets more credit. People are puttin way to much emotion behind these arguments, what we have is a master boxer in Mayweather and a master fighter in Pacquiao. Pacquiao out fights and out bruises alll of his opponents while Mayweather out thinks/ out boxes all of his opponents.

Pacquiao will always make for crowd pleasing fights while Mayweather is a certified technician, you have to have a sincere appreciation for what the man does inside the ring. In 30 years we will still be able to understand Mayweather unless he becomes broke lol, but if you are true fan of the sport and not a newbie, then you know when Mayweather was at the lower weights he called out the bigger guys but none of them wanted to fight him then, when he was at 130 he tried to fight Oscar and the world thought he was crazy.
