McGregor must not be hearing the numbers he wants to hear for his trilogy fight with Diaz lol. Man McGregor gots so much power right now. He's like f#ck you pay me.

I think the MAA or a similar bill for MMA will eventually get passed, but its not gonna destroy the UFC as some have suggested. It makes things harder for them for sure, but ultimately they are still the best bet to be the leader of the pack post-a MAA for MMA bill being passed so they just got more bumps in the road, but they've overcome worse bumps in the road.

I mean at one point most people saw Pride as a superior MMA league that paid fighters better & Affliction was seen as someone who could compete with them for a short period of time even. Bellator is still a big jump down from them despite the UFC exodus to them recently with name value has beens or non-name value never was guys & nothing changes with the MAA for MMA being a thing cuz it makes the game harder for every league not just the UFC.

EXACTLY, He is now in a position to help his sport, and he probably wont have this kind of negotiating power ever again in his sport. So why shouldnt he TRY to do something good for his sport.

But you have to remember, these are boxing fans: they love a guy like Arum who takes so much from his fighters and Hate a guy like Haymon, who gets his fighters good money

Great for mma fighters UFC rip them off they sign slave contracts. For example Connor fought a non mma fight and the UFC still got crazily half his earnings! I understand if he couldn't fight mma for anyone else they have say a 6 fight deal with him

MMA fighters often complain that their UFC contracts limit their earnings, pointing to the exclusive outfitting deal with Reebok, which prevents them from wearing equipment from any other manufacturer when fighting.

They are also not allowed to include logos from other sponsors on their clothing or to display banners in their corners, as is normal in other promotions.

This has led to a considerable drop in income for many fighters, with former women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate estimating in a 2015 interview that the terms of the Reebok apparel deal caused her to lose 80 to 90 percent of what she previously earned in sponsorships.

Dana is being unreasonable and greedy here.

                    Yea he was.

I think the new owners are anti-the Reebok deal so I look for that to end. The problem is they are 2 years into a 6 year deal so nothing is changing til 2021 & the UFC has seen a nice exodus to Bellator since that deal got made cuz run of the mill average cats were making $50k-$100k+ per fight in sponsorship money previously & now the cap is $40k IF you are the champion in your division & lower if you aren't.

Not sure if there is some potential for an earlier exit date or buyout option or something, but the UFC would be wise to take advantage of that cuz the personality that athletes choosing their own ring attire adds more value to the UFC than any uniform ever would. If anything they should make a deal with some clothing manufacturer that would just create the attire fighters wanted to wear based on the fighters own likes + dislikes & sell those more personalized items on the UFC site. I remember back in the day there would be fighters that made deals with sites to sell their walkout shirts every fight & they'd have a different one every fight. Thats a lot of f#cking shirts they could sell for popular guys who fight 3 times a year & could wear 3 different shirts the UFC could sell for each popular guy every year.

But whatever they do their are better uniforms then those sh^tshow Reebok bland ass Walmart Value section brand looking crap they are making fighters wear under punishment of fines if they don't. The Reebok deal has been one of the UFC's worst moves in their history which is filled with good + great moves.
