Just because you had a great trainer don't mean you'll become one.
He never really trained Whyte though. He just stepped in for Dillian's old trainer Chris Okoh on short notice.

Abel didn't even have a game plan. If it wasn't for Gennady fighting the way he did in the 2nd half, he wouldn't have got back in the fight.

How is that Banks' fault? You can't polish a turd.

Who else did Banks train besides Klitschko? And looking at his time with Klitschko it looks like he was only head trainer for 8 fights (2012-2017) and went 6-2 (3) in them. Meanwhile Klitschko went 16-0 (12) with Manny from 2004-12. Maybe Klitschko was on fumes by the time Banks got his chance doe idk.

Don't know if this is a great trainer choice to make improvements/adjustments for beating Canelo if he gets that 3rd fight.

Well he got the Mexican Style literally beaten out his azzz by Canelo. So he fights with his Mexican Trainer who told him he was losing and told the world after the fight he didn't win. Fires his trainer. Refuses to do interviews in English any more. Changed his name. And now gets about the most opposite trainer to the style of fighting he built his entire career with. Goes and gets boring Klitchko jabbing and grabbing trainer. Canelo really did a number on him and exposed the Mexican Style gimmick he built his hype on.

I heard in addition to all the changes GGG made he is so traumatized of Mexican Style that he has banned Taco Tuesday in his house.

Exactly. Im glad he dropped Abel, but idk about this choice tho. Its interesting how things will play out.

I think Klitschko went 15-1 with Manny. He hired him after the Sanders loss, not Brewster.

Exactly. Abel brought nothing to the table.

Not sure either. It's probably for the better that he at least won't be doing those brutal training camps at his age.
