i dont think its puzzling why chavez would act like that...

its actually a deliberate action on chavezs behalf. why? so he has an in built excuse at the ready if he fails.

basically imo...these athletes who half ass training and do weird **** to upset their career are scared of failure. half ass it...you always have an excuse.

There's one point where Roach was telling Chavez Jr something during the Martinez fight, and Chavez Jr turned his face and said "Ya, ya, ya, ya" with a nasty attitude. That means "Alright, alright, alright, alright", in the tone he said it, it was like "Alright, shut up already".

            Very rude.

Chavez was overrated anyhow, though not to discredit Martinez he put on a clinic. It's been shown he's lazy and doesn't give a **** and enjoyed beating up smaller guys. He got his ass handed to him and he's being thrown to the dogs and rightfully so. People will put up with your **** if you win... point is you have to win.

Well, lets be honest here for a minute. If fat Chavez didn't train then how did he make weight? We all know he blows up between fights and has tested positive for diuretics in the past. Also do you honestly think that would have made a difference? He WAS NOT out of shape but he simply was outclassed by a slick, fast fighter. He also did not pull the trigger until it was too little, too late. When and IF the rematch takes place, it will be the same result: Martinez by UD or late stoppage. Don't think the Martinez camp won't make minor adjustments to prevent a 12th round nightmare from happening again either.

I agree with what Roach is saying but he shouldn't throw his fighter underneath the bus. I also believe that he shouldn't be absolved of blame, a good trainer should be able to command the respect of his fighter.

How do you expect him to react when he is getting an ass whooping? His actions outside of camp I will chalk up to him being immature but his actions inside of the ring? No, Martinez was ripping his ass to shreds and as far as he was concerned their advise wasn't helping.
