People say Cubans are the most best trained Boxers and point to their Vast Amateur Accomplishments as proof of that, however an argument can be raised that Cubans are full grown men competing in the amateurs so that gives them a huge edge over teenagers who are not fully developed yet. We all know the back and forth of that topic.

Here we have a Cuban who living best of both worlds he was an accomplished amateur and now is an elite level boxer in the pro ranks going up against arguably one of Mexico's best at the moment. This is Number One and Number Two at 154lb facing off.

So if Canelo was to beat Lara Legit would this prove Mexican School of Boxing is better then the Cuban School of Boxing?

Of course not. Lara is the better boxer and will win. Take it to the bank.

Mexicans have greater fighters throughout history no doubt, and more elite champions, but Cuba has Rigo, possibly the most skilled boxer from a technical standpoint since James Toney in his prime, easily better but he probably will never get a chance to prove it against elite fighters.

....it goes both ways. If Lara wins you'll see people saying the same kinda stuff. Canelo was robbed, Lara was running and blablablablabla. That's boxing for you, there will always be some fans that will only come up with silly excuses and refuse to give props to the winner no matter what.
