they should at least learn some english even if its just basic. English is worldwide medium of communication. It's very hard for a boxer who's gotta say something and needs an interpreter everytime. Interpreters aren't around 24/7. As for the case of pacquiao speaking english definitely improved his popularity even though his interviews are cringeworthy He understands and knows english but he has trouble transferring his thoughts to english but atleast he made an effort.
