When last ugas lost he was away from boxing for a year, on his comeback he was fed to Jamal James, perella, chava, dulorme and the only time he was favored was against Lara with less than 24 hrs notice, he beat them all and then this tomato can on Spence's show, by the way the dulorme fight was the eliminator for a shot at the ibf title but the ibf had already order the ocampo fight before the eliminator, in yesterday's interview with Dan Rafael, Spence said that ugas was a good fighter but he rather fight some champs or ex champs, which truth be told is the best way for Spence, unfortunately ugas is a high risk low reward fight that very few names on the division would take, not that he'd beat any of the big names, but he will give any of them his very best and in the business of boxing the big names prefer to fight tomato cans.

Anymore excuses from spence fans???
Josesito getting knocked out by Canelo Berto Maidana plus Victor Ortiz bun Azz would get dropped the same way Ocampo did has been Her to has been taking beatings since the Floyd payday plus I will give credit for being a former world champ tho but he gets dropped too
Collazo ain't nothing special he almost dropped Thurman but went tooth and nail with Khan gets dropped in 2 rounds Devon Alexander may fight but I see him going 7 rounds sad thing is that you named guys that Spence demolishes very fast plus the only tough fights for Spence would be Thurman ones fights twice and the winner of that Garcia vs Porter fight and maybe Crawford Next Year Ugas will be solid until Garcia/Porter winner

Its easy to scan over Ugas's record and dismiss him but he's a guy with no real backing that's had everything against him and had to take a lot of short notice fights. He's hardly ever gotten a full training camp or enough notice to prepare not to mention he's been robbed.
He's really had to work to get where he is.
Consider him a Glen Johnson type. He's not a mug.
He's probably one of the best fighters ready and willing at least certainly better than Lopez, Ortiz, Alexander and Berto are at this stage.
Like come on man, Ortiz? Spence would make him quit during the staredown. The only name more compelling is Khan.
