Hearn doesn't throw money at people unless there is a clear purpose and return in investment, which is just plain to see in a Wilder v Whyte fight.

Are you that unconfidant of Wilder getting the job done that you're worried about judging? If Whyte is such a nobody then Wilder would have no problem knocking him out and thus judges would be irrelevant...

Also, Hearn can't offer Wilder the Joshua fight, Joshua has to fight at least one fight (Pulev), possibly two fights first (Klitschko and Pulev), thus Wilder fighting Whyte is completely logical.

If Wilder turns down Whyte then likelihood is he'd be behind Parker in the queue for a Joshua payday as we all know that Parker wants to crack the UK market so if he does make a name for himself in the UK Hearn would put him straight in with Joshua when he can.
Wilder and Showtime/PBC want Wilder/AJ to happen in the US. That's pretty clear. It does them no good to wander over to the UK to fight somebody completely irrelevant to the US market, who offers no belt, was already dusted by AJ, and basically is a giant waste of time.

Hearn is just blowing a bunch of smoke hoping Wilder takes the bait.

Just watched that whole interview, sounding like Vegas is the frontrunner for Joshua/Klitschko. Also lol at Stephen Smith getting a shot at another title, Corrales keeping away from Lomachenko, and Linares/Mendez, gunna be some fury in the threads when those fights announced

Yea I hope it is Vagas.. But I'm gonna wait for the official venue to be announced as they are all in bidding wars for now so tomorrow Cardiff may be front runner.

Seems like he was saying Klitschko didnt really fancy Cardiff though, wants it to be something special for him to consider taking it

Even if the plan is Wilder v AJ being in the US (which i do agree is the case) facing Whyte does still increase Wilder's standing in the UK market which could lead to more PPV buys in the UK for a US fight.

Joshua's more casual fanbase are far more likely to stay up late/get up early for a Joshua fight in the US if they deem the opponent to be someone that has to be seen. At the moment Wilder isn't that so it definitely is in Hearn's favour to get him more known in the UK.

                      Good points

I'm confident that Wilder would wreck Whyte but why should the Champ have to go to a no names backyard where everything's stacked against him. Wilder is in a position he doesn't need to fight Whyte in the UK. UK fighters get way to much home cooking to take that type of risk when Wder doesn't need to. He's not Charles Martin and just going there for a big payday to hand over his strap

HEARN has sone say and can dictate when it comes to Joshua. When it comes to Whyte HEARN has no position of power when it comes to Wilder
