Default WBC ranks Anthony Joshua at No. 3 behind Whyte and Fury

WBC Rankings

Champion: Deontay WILDER
1. Dillian WHYTE
2. Tyson FURY
3. Anthony JOSHUA
4. Luis ORTIZ
5. Adam KOWNACKI
6. Joseph PARKER
7. Alexander POVETKIN
8. Kubrat PULEV
9. Agit KABAYEL
10. Oscar RIVAS
11. Dereck CHISORA
12. Filip HRGOVIC
13. Dominic BREAZEALE
14. Joe JOYCE
15. Michael HUNTER

So, would WBC mandate Whyte vs Joshua for the mandatory since Fury has declined?

They should just arrange it themselves as it's in house. AJ beats whyte in his comeback fight at wembley. Then AJ beats wilder. Faces Andy Ruiz for redemption and to be undisputed, then defends against the lineal champion fury. Before having fairwell defence against usyk who has remained undefeated at heavyweight and cashes in his mandatory . Now that would be an epic fairy tale hof career and ridiculous money earnt for AJ. Though there's no guarantee AJ gets past whyte 2.0 and no I don't say that just because of the Ruiz loss. Whyte has improved, worked hard and gone twelve rounds a few times since got that stamina that AJ lacks. Can catch him with that left hook again . Whyte is not injured like he was in the first fight. But yeah the heavyweight division is pretty exciting atm. Looking forward to dubois vs gorman

That would be great imo. Whyte Vs Joshua 2 in a final eliminator. Both then have a chance to redeem themselves

How would a purse bid like this work Eddie Hearn goes in as the sole promoter and still somehow lose the purse bid

WBC decided to make Whyte choose his own eliminator Rivas will be for the mandatory

Eddie is saying the Whyte vs Rivas fight is for the WBC interim title &/or a mando spot. Although I've not confirmed that with what the WBC is saying so I'm not taking it as gospel or anything, but that is my understanding currently.

So basically idk if that would even be needed at this point, although its not like the WBC hasn't changed their story numerous times in the past like all these ABC groups have either so who f#cking knows.

Supposedly Whyte is a free agent who just chooses to work with Matchroom fight by fight so its not like Hearn would be the sole promoter here & it'd just be about him coming up with a deal. Whyte is like a hostile witness in court or w/e its called lol. He could easily say lets go to a purse bid.

Being that Hearn gots the money guy is probably unlikely anyone beats him out doe. The fights he's losing purse bids to are lesser guys who aren't really draws.

Although if anyone could f#ck up a money guy purse bid it'd likely be Eddie cuz he does seem to be steady taking L's in purse bids unlike nothing I've seen with a major promoter.

How pointless? If AJ is fighting for the other belts (rematch) why has wbc even bothered ranking him?
