What's Al gonna do? Tell Ruiz he can make him $5m against Wilder in 2021 after Ortiz and Kownacki get their shot? There's no guarantees that money would still be there for him.

If Al could of course he would have scuppered Ruiz taking the fight, but he already played all his cards.
Great response. I didn't intend to partake in this tread, although I was hoping someone would chip in what you said. Thumbs up, bro.

Ok, so you won't take the trainers word. You won't believe Hearn. You won't believe Ortiz's manager when he said that Ortiz would have had $5m in his bank account after the promoters cut.

How much was offered then? Clearly you must know something the rest of us don't to be so certain.

Shorted the offers to Wilder and Fury, played johnny-come-lately on what would've been fair offers after Wilder and Fury moved on, again started with the bull**** offers when Wilder-Fury 2 fell through, shorted the offer to their own guy for the fight that would've saved the Wembley event, paid $6.5m for a New York fight with a heavyweight in Miller who has about as much a profile as "Let's go champ!" Shannon Briggs, and then immediately shorted the offers when Miller pissed hot a bunch of times. Lol.

In deal after deal, regardless of all of the talk from his fans, Joshua can't seem to find the money for the legit fights, yet seems to always come up with the money needed to make less legit fights.

NY radio isn't pushing the fight locally, none of the TV networks (ESPN, FS1, maybe the Sky Sports simulcast on NBCSN but that's it), and no one is really excited for the US debut of this supposed superstar.

Luis Ortiz changes that immediately.

Yes, Luis Ortiz was worth more than was on offer, and his camp knew it.
This! Cudnt have said it better meself!!! Andy ruiz prolly got 8mil to start with!

Bwahahaha!

Last time Ortiz fought Wilder he was paid somewhere between $500k and $1million.

But the magic Showtime PPV fairy will come round and pay him $7million+ if he fights Deontay again!

Not only is Luis Ortiz a bigger name but he has a better resume than Miller. The fight was a bit on short notice as well so Ortiz should have gotten at least 50% more than Miller. Not a half million. It is probably the best HW fight outside of Wilder-Joshua or Fury against either Wilder or Joshua. So it is a much bigger fight that is a PPV bout in itself. I think Ortiz maximizes the fight if he waits and wins another fight to setup the big fight with any of the titlists.
