[PLEASE HELP] Are xbox one disc games compatible with the xbox one x system?

I'm thinking of getting my lil bro an xbox one x. He's had the xbox one for years now and has a ton of disc games but I don't know if they're compatible with the one x.

Yes they run the exact same games and many of them have had updates which allow them to run faster or with better resolution if hooked up to a 4k TV. Not really worth buying the console if hooked up to a 1080p screen imo.

I believe they are compatible. If not, those disks would say Xbox One X on them.

Best Buy doesn't have layaway though I had to go to Walmart and man I found a great deal on 55' Samsung 4k UHD for 500 bucks.

I should have it paid off in three months.
