Froch is using Karate Kid 3 psychological tactics on Khaniel Son

"Wake up and smell the coffee Mr Khan"

Froch does remind me of Terry Silver tbh

"throw 5-6 punch combo's and make you stand in the pocket"

the only people froch should give advice to are people with granite chin, big heart, heavy hands, and lacking technical skills.... hahahaha

Froch is right. Khan has to land shots, he can't just run like Lara. Khan isn't that powerful so there's no point in landing single shots which can be timed and countered. Canelo is too smart for that.

He needs just throw combinations and get out of there, be like an annoying fly.

The problem with Khan is he stays in the pocket a bit too long and admires his work. If he makes any mistakes in this fight or his pattern becomes to predictable, it's goodnight.

But Khan did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once.

Khan is getting knocked out early regardless of what game plan he uses. Canelo is bigger and stronger. Canelo hits much harder with better accuracy and hand speed as fast or faster than Khan. Khan is faster on his feet and he can run but he can't hide. Then there is the chins. Canelo's is iron and Khan's is glass. I think Froch did give Khan bad advice on purpose. Froch and Khan have trash talked each other for many years.

With Khan standing right beside him, he offered compliments for taking the fight, saying he has the ability to win, then said he'd already advised Khan of this game plan backstage in private but he'd repeat it for the cameras. Most of it seemed to be sound advice: fast hands, fast feet, use boxing ability, don't stay in the pocket..

However, at the end of this analysis and with a big grin on his face, Froch said, "Lots of combinations. 6 to 7 punch combinations." He emphasized this part with hand gestures, speaking slowly and deliberately, as if it was the most important part of the analysis.

Now if Khan threw 6 to 7 punch combinations against Canelo he'll put himself in high risk positions repeatedly throughout the fight, leaving himself open for counters. Khan's best chance is to single punch pot-shot, like Mayweather, Rigo and Lara often do. If throwing combinations then no more than 2 or 3 punch combos max.

Assuming Froch knows that, he could actually be trying to set up Khan for a KO loss by giving him that one piece of dangerous advice both on TV and backstage - "6 to 7 punch combos!" Surely Froch knows better, he's a veteran boxer.

The Khan-Froch rivalry was thought to be put to rest some time ago because they've hosted side-by-side on a number of Sky shows over the past year. Maybe on Khan's side everything's all cool but Froch might still hold some sort of grudge towards Khan. Is Froch being two-faced, pretending to be friendly and complimentary, but perhaps praying on Khan's downfall and actually trying to set him up for a KO loss? That one piece of so-called "advice" would certainly point in that direction..

Yes, Froch is a bit jealous of Khan's popularity in the UK and is misleading him. Like when Manny Steward wanted full control of Naseem Hamed's camp, but Naseem kept Oscar Suarez on as head trainer. Manny got his revenge by telling Naseem he needs a KO in the Barrera fight when compubox showed he was ahead on points. He even smiled when Barrera was given the decision. Same thing is happening here, Froch has been very spiteful of anyone who has been successful in British boxing and has said he is better and they can't be compared to him. There's not much camaraderie between British boxers, especially when they're fighting abroad.
