Interestingly Vladimir Putin doesn't think that the rebels have used poison gas. That was a claim from a single journalist.

In any case satellite imagery of Syrian missile launchers firing at the rebel position immediately before the rebel position displayed symptoms of nerve gas poisoning is evidence that Syria used chemical weapons. Why are you ignoring this?

What we do know is the Syrian government sent a letter shortly after to the US to investigate the chemical weapons attack which has been ignored by Obama and his administration, and any major news networks.
Which news networks did report it?

You're right they did export them for cosmetic purposes. However, when a full blown civil war is breaking out, to carry on sending dangerous chemicals which can lead to the creation of deadly weapons is gross misconduct and careless in my view. Anyone with a bit of common sense would know to quit sending them in a dangerous, violent civil war.
Sarin also requires oxygen and hydrogen to manufacture. Should we also not send water?

I am also opposed to intervention myself after the numerous ****-ups in the past. We have no business in Syria and aren't familiar with the place. Leave them to it.
You're opposed to intervention because you're a wackaday anti-US loon.

I didn't see it. The administration is saying that this is the evidence that they are acting upon.

I oppose military intervention in Syria for the following reasons:

        1. The possibility of involving Russia in a wider conflict

        2. The simple fact that while Assad's regime has been murdering civilians opposed to him, the rebel factions have been busying themselves murdering their own dissidents. In short there are no good guys.

        3. There's simply no strategy in place. Missile strikes just because of the use of chemical weapons in an atrocity are pointless without a clear goal. And all this talk of "punishing" the Assad regime is patently absurd.

Now the preponderance of evidence so far is that chemical weapons were used and were used by the Syrian army. Claiming that there is "no evidence" just because a couple of key pieces have not been provided to the 24 hour newsertainment cycle is stupid. Especially given that the people making the claim that there is "no evidence" are so willing to happily swallow the claim of a single journalist that the rebels did the gassing.

There is evidence that the Syrian army has the capability of deploying chemical weapons, there is evidence that they did so and so far there is no evidence whatsoever that the rebels have such a capability. So the preponderance of evidence in the public is that the Syrian regime used chemical weapons against citizens that it was previously murdering with shells.

        My reaction is: Now what?

The war-weary west is in a difficult position. Do we act now and risk a wider conflict? Do we fail to act and risk losing the moral authority next time another despot decides to use prohibited weapons against their own people? "You didn't do anything to Syria when they gassed their own people, why are you trying to stop us from doing it?"

In one respect the sabre rattling by Obama looks to have done something positive: It looks like the Assad regime is finally taking the threats seriously and looking for a resolution to the issue that will stop the use of chemical weapons.

And back to the topic of John McCain being "owned": This woman is a passionate Syrian ex-pat who can earnestly say that there is a peaceful solution.

She does not have to live with the results of her conviction. She doesn't have to deal with the consequences of the action or inaction she proposes. She gets to say her piece and sit down to thunderous applause, then she's done.

If she was in charge, what would she do?

So to all the people that say Syria doesn't have chemical weapons, why did Assad agree to turn those non existent weapons to the international community?

Or was that just a trick by the Jews and America on fake news?

Folks, this is a lesson in watching the entire video instead of commenting on the thread title and preparing responses just to troll. Clearly the Syrian woman had an 18 year old cousin killed by the rebels and has family in the region. She has to live with the results of her conviction because her family is directly affected by her words and proposal. Her family has to deal with the consequences of her words and since this clip has gone viral will Al Queda target her family now that she made this statement?

Your statement applies to McCain, who has No family in the region and whatever he says does not put his family in harms way. The only benefit to him is to stroke his moral ego. You cannot find a more direct consequence with words than a woman with family in the middle of a battlefield just trying to survive.

There is no evidence. If there was - all would be revealed. Do people actually still trust the American government? I mean, seriously?

What you can do is see chemical weapons being loaded via youtube. Take a look, and decide for yourself.

Also, Obama has to be careful due to violating International Law if he was carry out strikes on Syria. There is possibility he cold be tried breaching laws without given permission or authority.

Wait, has Blair been arrested yet for the killing of hundreds of thousands of civilians yet?

Has the un released its report yet? The march saren attack they leaned on it being rebels. What's shocking to me is the flabbergasted gov leaders at the united anti war feelings of the American people. Iraq was only a decade ago were not going to fight another war on weak suspicions.

Preponderance evidence eh? What makes the evidence so much better when none has infact been presented?

In the Turkish media they reported members of the rebel allied jihadist group al-Nusra were arrested for two kilograms of sarin gas being held in suspect homes. Why has this not been reported in Western media?

What makes the US evidence so significant compared to anybody else anyway? Are they thought to be more trust worthy? Or they attempting to fulfill other agenda's here to get there way in Syria?

The US seem ever so desperate to get involved.
