    Gorres Batters Viloria in Sparring

Z "The Dream" Gorres, the country's no.1 ranked super flyweight, who is also no. 1 in the latest OPBF ratings, battered world rated flyweight Brian "Hawaiian Punch" Viloria, the former US olypian of Filipino heritage, in a sparring session at the Wild Card Gym of ace trainer Freddie Roach.

In an oversease telephone conversation with VIVA Sports/Manila Standard, Ring Magazine featherweight champion Manny Pacquiaio's Filipino trainer Buboy Fernandez said Viloria, who was scheduled to spar with Gorres yesterday, decided not to tangle with the flashy Filipino southpaw who instead sparred with the tough Armenian bantamweight Haren Harutyunyan, a former sparring partner of Pacquiao and put on a good performance. Fernandez said Viloria "doesnt want to spar with Gorres anymore because the last time Gorres gave him a beating."

HA . . . HA . . .HA . . . a good one. Gorres was not that impressive on his last fight here because he came from a long layoff after a hand injury forced him to stop training. If that news say what it really means then Gorres is now back at the harness.
