  • It wouldn't be enough to surpass him in terms of ATG status because that is more based on the strength of your resume and over all body of work.....it would be like saying some up and comer can blast Pac out and rank higher than him in terms of ATG status......
now floyd is an up and comer floyd is 18-0 in championship fihts pac is 8-2-2 floyd has 12 title defenses pac has 5

overall body of work goes to floyd all day everyday

No. Hatton had a time frame, not sure specifically how long, to decide what to do wit his JWW title after the Mr boat buyer fight. He wanted Mr boat buyer at WW specifically due to him havin the lineal JWW to fall back on in case he got beat.

Also at present time, Pac is in the same situation. He still holds the lineal JWW title after winnin WBO's WW belt from Cotto.

I mean, we waited and waited for a Cotto vs Floyd fight. Meanwhile this former Featherweight climbs up weight classes and in the span of 2 yrs from fighting at 130lbs fights Cotto (Top 1-2 Welterweight in the world) and demolishes him.

Pacquiao's already proven he can do the unthinkable. Beating Mayweather IMO is icing on the cake. Huge win, but not legacy defining fight, we saw that last Saturday.
            Great post, couldn't agree more.

Jose Luis castillo considered the best at 135 defeated by floyd in back to back fights.

now lets look at pac after beating barerra in 2003 he goes on to lose to morales the first time who hadn't won a title in 2 years.

lost to morales and req a return fight at 130 when erik was coming off a loss to zahir rahem.

at the time pac lost to morales and rematched him he was not the best fighter at 130. he finally fights marquez after fighting erik for a third time who couldn't make weight....fights barrera coming off a loss to marquez...goes life and death with marquez and then this is where it gets really good.

135 david diaz instead of nate campbell u call that upping your comp

140 ricky hatton instead of tim bradley u call that upping your comp
