And I don't think Jermall is all that. Haven't seen Jermell, but Jermall is very linear.

A simple high guard with an inside game will give him major fits. So far Jermall has been allowed to fight all of his fights at mid-long range. An elite fighter will change things up. And Jermall is very open to be KTFO as he often lunges with his straight/overhand right hands. I also think there's an opening for a lead left hook.

Can't see Jermall beating a GGG, Canelo, or Danny Jacobs. BJS will also cause fits with his unique style/movement/unusual punch timing

I want to SEE FOR MYSELF vs GGG and vs Canelo if he is the Real Deal, lets find out, why try to match him with everybody else besides the best in the Division...you guys are doing it because of FEAR you want him as far away from Canelo as possible and you're hoping that a Jacobs, Andrade, Derevenyenchenko or whoever else can be the gate keeper for your guy and stop Charlo's momentum

I'm not in the business of protecting fighters who can whip my ass, these are PROFESSIONAL FIGHTERS! Stop trying to protect them to keep your damn "Internet Bragging Rights" Intact

Yeah "Charlo Need To Step Up" well the "Step Ups" have to be willing to fight him too. Stop pretending like the WBC did not Order Charlo vs GGG and it is GGG Team saying that fight is not happening. Not only that WTF does GGG need to fight Charlo for to get a 3rd Match with Canelo. GGG can tell the WBC to go to hell and take the WBA Route where he is #2 behind Lemieux. A Lemieux who I doubt can even make 160 anymore without borderline killing himself.

Charlo is Interim, he can play this waiting game for as long as the WBC wants to play it because guess what, when they order the fight and they will order the fight because the WBC is not going deal with a Lawsuit not even for Canelo, then Interim gets 50/50 if they go to purse bid!

So the world stops for Charlo? He calls someone out and everyone has to answer to him???

He's beaten nobody. He called out Danny Jacobs and has COMPLETELY backed away from that fight. He doesn't want the fight...talk is cheap.

Yet GGG and/or Canelo are supposed to just clear their path of DESERVING opponents because someone called them out?

As far as callouts go...everyone wants Canelo:

168 Benavidez wants Canelo

And, yes, Charlo wants Canelo...but why is Charlo more deserving than anyone else? Answer: he's not. And he's not 2nd or 3rd or 4th most deserving. You say "oh, well, he's the mandatory"...when you're the cash cow YOU are the mandatory. Canelo will let belts go just like he did with Gennady and would do again at any second

Despite reports and suggestions, DLH was adamant that Canelo would NOT be fighting DJ in May.

Sadly it is likely to be GGG#3 per these reports:

So please stop with this "ducking" stuff. Canelo has dozens of fighters to pick from. Charlo has chosen to avoid any/all real challenges (including Danny Jacobs) so he has to live with that...including the part about having zero fan base - his OWN doing.

If Charlo wants to fight better fighters than he needs to start fighting better fighters. End of story

I'm not reading all that and I am not clicking on all those Links and watching all those videos...

Nobody accused anybody of ducking at least I'm not BUT it is no question some fans want the safe route for fighters they like. I want Charlo vs Canelo as well as GGG because they are considered the best at 160. As for Jacobs, he took the HBO/Matchroom USA deal just as Charlo moved up to 160 and rightfully so it was a good deal for good money at the time. Jacobs is now trying to get the Canelo fight himself and again RIGHTFULLY SO because Canelo is the money fight and is at the top. I'm all for Charlo vs Jacobs, that is a HUGE FIGHT at Barclays and with Jacobs now at Free Agent absolutely it can happen BUT both are basically waiting to see what Canelo will do. Jacobs could get Canelo May 2019

Charlo wants to fight better, CANELO! He is in position for a shot at Canelo, the WBC ordered Charlo vs GGG. It also takes one of them to fight him as well WTF more do you want to be done honestly?

That was one sweet knockout but then again, I don't know that J-Rock has done much in his career either. So yeah, it's time to step up if they're going to.
The J-Rock fight was a good one for Jermall and showed he could make adjustments from fight to fight. In the Trout fight before that dude couldn't throw a right uppercut to save his darn life and it was open all night with the way Trout was bending down and going to his own left, I mentioned it in the RBR thread during the fight. Then the next fight we see him throw the counter right uppercut following J-Rock throwing his one-two from so far out and overextending. I was impressed with that and it showed growth as a fighter.

Jermell seems like he has regressed. He used to be the more polished fighter out of the two brothers and had a real good jab. Under Derek James he is sitting down on his punches more but seems to get hit a lot more as well. He used to throw educated punches but it seems having him sit down on his punches has given him false confidence about his power as if he's a devastating puncher. I was really surprised in that Jackson fight where Jackson was outboxing him and winning until the KO.

Now that I think about it, it's funny how Jermall stayed with Ronnie Shields and has gotten better technically and Jermell left Shields and seems to be getting worse technically. Hmm

Wow. Great breakdown man. Yeah, I loved how Jermall caught J-Rock with that uppercut when J-Rock was extending way too far out there. It was perfectly timed in mid-punch. Loved that shot and was blown away by him that night. Unfortunately, he's done jack shlt since then. Maybe this will change in 2019...

no fan considers a guy a champion if he vacates to fight weaker competition.

if canelo fights ggg, andrade, or jacobs he'll get a pass.

if he fights anybody besides these 3, its a duck
