Thats a plea bargain my friend. look at the dates the day they dropped em was the same day he plead guilty to the rest. He took the plea deal, he admitted he did it for the lesser time.

Tyler has been charged with raping 18 girls at his school. However, they discovered he could have been potentially set up, because they uncover social media posts with the girls planning to frame him for being a jerk and hitting and quitting (player). as for the girls who lied and/or plotted they probably represent the cases that were dropped the year previous to the plea deal and since those cases are no longer part of the accusations against tyler kost their is no reason to bring up the social media plot/conspiracy evidence into the trial because those charges that stemmed from that group has already been dismissed.

and to answer the question if they will be punished for lying is yea probably but we will never know because they are minors and their info is not public information.

people like to paint with a broad brush and say the system is evil and this and that (and it can be) but in fact most of the time its just that the system isnt perfect, and most are just doing their jobs.

Its a detective job to build the case.
Its a prosecutor job to find them guilty.

Tyler Kost was arrested, a detective got the evidence to charge him, the prosecutor got the guilty plea out of him. Now this rapist (he took a pledeal so he admitted guilt) has 15 years under the systems thumb where he if fucks up they will be dropping double digits on em! and in case he makes it out of that probation period he still has a lifetime of a sex offender label.

It really should be the district attorney's job to be a finder of fact. There is a reason that a law degree is required to be a D.A, whereas the police do not need to be. The D.A should be held to a higher standard and understanding of the law and it's equity than the police. But unfortunately, so many of them do get caught up in protecting their 0
