  • Comments Thread For: Parker vs. Fury - Several Locations Being Mulled To Host Fight

There is heavy interest coming in to host the heavyweight clash between WBO world champion Joseph Parker and undefeated Hughie Fury. According to Parker's promoter, David Higgins of Duco Events, they have even received an offer from Singapore to host the fight at a local casino.

Fury could be a nightmare for Parker. I can see Fury make Parker look confused and frustrated. A fight that will probably be difficult to score.

I don't see it personally, Parker will be able to negotiate the distance using his speed which we know he has at this level having fought at a higher level of opposition of any of the current belt holders. Fury was looking for a way out against slow as molasses Kassi who don't hit as hard as Parker.

If genuinely believe Parker can't won't be able to hit and hurt Fury when Kassi was landing at will after the sixth round I'm not sure what to say to you.

I'm looking forward to this fight for a few reasons still though, if Parker can outwork the bigger man and is able to land his crosses and straight rights I don't see why he will not be able to have the same success against the other belt holders. Parker has come through all his acid tests so far this will be another solid testing stick.

Their is a current belief he is in fact serving a suspension as we speak but will obviously be able to compete by the time the fight takes place this April. If he's been on PED's as suspected they haven't really helped his career as I've seen nothing from him that suggests to me he can be a danger at the highest level against guys like Klitschko, Parker and Joshua.

Maybe this will be like when Arum lost the Ramirez-AA purse bid but then negotiated after to get the fight in the US. Could see Warren doing something like that here to have it in the UK.

If Joshua beats Wlad and Parker beats Hughie in the UK the same month, calls out AJ, talks himself up big to the British press, seems like it give himself a better chance of getting that fight than if this happens in NZ. But then again maybe Duco had good talks about a Wilder fight and want to go in that direction after this or maybe Wlad wins.

Obviously Duco Events is going to want to host the fight in NZ for several of reasons.

              Robbery to Parker's favor lmao

              J/k

But this should be a good match, I think Parker wins

Parkers promoters Duco won the rights to the fight last month and Peter Fury, the trainer and father of Hughie, has said on social media the fight will be in New Zealand.

Hughie Fury has also tweeted "A world title go in the champions home town to take it."
